I took a book to get spiral bound at Staples. After two hours of waiting (kept hearing “just a few more minutes…”) this is what I got.

Kristy made these awesome Krispy Kreme brownies using this recipe and they looked so good that I had to make them. They were a bit rich, but a hit at game night.

We played Ticket to Ride (both the USA and European maps) with the Youngs and Wallaces tonight. Aaron won both games.

A few nights ago we were at the Jansons’ and started talking about the DC earthquake that happened in August. As you can see from the link, the Metro was a nightmare and we started talking about what would have happened had the quake been more severe or if it had been something else. We talked about our own emergency preparedness for work and the Jansons mentioned they had these “go bags.” There are enough rations for 24-48 hours. Since Tana is working from home now, she doesn’t need her office go bag, so they loaned me this one until we can find something similar or create our own. Jenny’s looking at making our own and will be blogging about it tomorrow.
