I was driving this afternoon when I saw Marine One flying. I grabbed my camera because traffic had slowed down, but just as I got the settings right, traffic cleared up. I pointed the camera out my window and shot blindly as I watched the road ahead of me. I really feel like I got lucky with this one.

In case you don’t know, when Marine One is in the air, there are 3 identical helicopters doing a shell game. Since there are 3 of them, there’a a 1 in 3 chance that this one is carrying the president.

A Marine One arrival on the South Lawn of the White House. I happened to be at the White House for an event and they invited us to watch President Obama arrive. Unfortunately, this was as close as we got to him (about 30 yards); he headed straight for the West Wing.
